I really enjoy editing trailers for short films. One such trailer I especially enjoyed creating was for the Film Vandals second team, the Vilm Fandals during their 2024 summer 48hr Film Challenge. I was DIT for the team, and afterward I was able to arrange for the assets to be able to create the trailer.
Film trailers are an especially fun way to edit because creating a non-linear narrative that obscures the story while generating excitement in it is something that appeals to my deep interest and study in poetry. It is always fun to condense a story to something very short by using clips in an order that creates something compelling without being too revealing.
I was even lucky enough to be able to create the series trailer for the HallowIan Horror Hour distributor, BayView Entertainment.
I can’t wait to have more trailer editing opportuinities.
